MONKEY HOUSE (МАЙМУНКАТА МАЙМУНКАТА КЪЩАТА КЪЩАТА)

Built in 1849 by the renowned Bulgarian architect Fitcheto, who built several buildings and houses in the region and beyond, this typical house owes its name to the statuette of a small grinning monkey on its façade. It now houses the Union of Bulgarian Scientists. Unfortunately, it can only be seen from the outside. But it's worth a look, for its architecture of course and for the little monkey in question. Nice bar just in front with a small terrace.
