DASKALOV HOUSE (ДАСКАЛОВАТА КЪЩА)

This beautiful Renaissance house, built in 1808, has a well maintained garden and houses a small museum of wood carving. The interior of the house has been preserved, including two beautifully refined wooden ceilings, according to legend, a competition between master and student to obtain the hand of the daughter Daskalov. The museum recounts the history of wood carving techniques, with the oldest of the schools, Tryavna.
