Church in the heart of the city, featuring icons by artist Stanislav Dospevski.
In the heart of the city, a church built in the Middle Ages, then destroyed by fire in 1856 and rebuilt. It paid tribute to the Serbian king Stefan Uroch II Milutine, whose relics are kept in the church. On April 16, 1925, a bomb attack perpetrated by the communists against Tsar Boris III killed more than a hundred people and destroyed the church, which was again rebuilt. The church was rebuilt and the icons signed by the 19th century artist Stanislav Dospevski can be admired.
