HIKING ROUTES
Numerous circuits requiring several hours' hiking, such as Cinco Saltos, Sendero Lago Krüger, Laguna Escondida...
They are very numerous; some of them require several hours of walking. At the park administration, you will be given leaflets (cards for purchase as well).
From Villa Futalaufquén, a 50-minute trail exposes the close relationship between indigenous peoples and the surrounding environment. Another trail gives some explanations about the local flora (about 30 minutes).
From the Villa to Cerro El Dedal, a steep hike will take you to an altitude of 1,916 metres, a round trip of 6 hours. The trail starts at the Sendero de la Cascada (just behind the Visitors' Centre). At the top you can admire the Futulaufquen lake and the Rio Desaguadero valley.
Cinco Saltos, from Puerto Limonao, a circuit of about 3 hours leads to the Cinco Saltos (five beautiful waterfalls). The hike is easy and accessible.
Sendero Lago Krüger, which follows the southern shore of Lago Futalaufquen to a smaller lake of the same name. The hike starts in Puerto Limonao and is 25 kilometers long. You can spend the night in Playa Blanca.
Sendero de las Pinturas Rupestres, an easy trail of 500 metres that takes you to discover vast panoramas and traces of pre-Columbian rock art.
Laguna Escondida, start your ascent at the foot of the Arrayanes River and climb to the top.
Sendero al Cerro Alto el Petiso, start your hike in Mermoud, located in Lago Verde. After crossing a forest, the route is not strewn with pitfalls, but with small rocks to climb and avoid.
