DÍA NACIONAL DEL TANGO

Every December 11, Argentina commemorates its emblematic dance: the tango. This day was chosen in 1977 by the Secretary of State for Culture in reference to the anniversary of the national glory, the singer Carlos Gardel, born on December 11, 1890. The choice of the date is also a tribute to another major figure of tango, Julio de Caro, Argentine violinist and conductor, also a composer of tango. This great celebration brings together enthusiasts from all over the world and on this occasion many events are organized.
