The Cervantes Theatre (also called the TNC) was inaugurated in 1921. It is the headquarters of the Argentine National Comedy, founded in 1936 on the model of the Comédie Française. The building, which was rebuilt after the great fire of 1961, houses four theatres and is a true public institution. In addition to being a school of dramatic art, it is therefore a real theatre in itself, offering in particular revisited classical works (performances on Shakespeare, adaptation of Oedipus Kings...).
