CASTLE MUNICIPAL MUSEUM

Built at the end of the 12th century, the castle's primary purpose was to hold the border in the face of increasing Turkish assaults. Several times renovated, it took on a baroque appearance at the end of the 17th century. Transformed into a municipal museum in the early 1970s, the permanent exhibition contains some interesting ethnographic collections and some developments on technical and craft skills. Singular lack of information in English. Temporary exhibitions which are generally good surprises.
