Sympathique, aide précieuse, beaucoup d'informations et de bonnes cartes. Ils parlent bien l'anglais et parfois d'autres langues. Sur l'état des sentiers alpins, ils ne savent pas grand-chose, mais savent comment trouver l'information auprès des refuges alpins ou du club alpin.
