Getting around by cab and VTC Manila

This is the most common means of transportation used by travelers in the capital. It is essential to use only official cab companies (they are usually yellow or white) and to ask the driver to set the meter(metered) before the trip to avoid unpleasant surprises.If the driver refuses to set the meter or to announce the price in advance, do not hesitate to get out of the car or to take a picture of the cab's plate and number. Payment is made in cash and it is good practice to leave your change.
