As in the rest of the archipelago, it is one of the most used and convenient means of transportation to travel short distances in the capital at a very low cost. Moreover, at the entrance of Intramuros, tricycle drivers (they like to call their "Lamborghinis") offer guided tours of the historic district with stops and explanations at the main points of interest (PHP 350/30 minutes). For a global overview you should count 1h-1h30. If you speak English, it's a nice way to discover the historical heart.
