DELÜÜN BOLDOG CHAIN

Delüün Boldog is a mountain range that surrounds Bayan-Ovoo to the north. The summit bears an inscription dated 1990, which commemorates the 750th anniversary of the writing of The Secret History of the Mongols. These mountains are also known to be one of the possible birthplaces of the Mongolian emperor Chinggis Khan. A stele mentions the date of birth of the latter, in 1162. A very sacred ovoo is also there. A little more south, you will be able to discover a splendid panorama on the valley of Balj and on Dalal.
