Travel Guide Tsonjiin Chuluu

This amazing site is located at the northeast end of theaimag, in the sum of Delgereh. It is about basalt formations which appear as hexagonal columns with an almost perfect geometrical shape. Some of them can reach five meters in length. These columns, of gray color, create the surprise as well by their slender and symmetrical form, which makes think of pieces of crystal, as by their location, in the middle of the desert. They have actually sprung from the earth after the basalt, in liquid form, has undergone a very strong pressure. These formations are very rare in the world and no other resembles Tsonjiin Chuluu.
