It is the administrative center of the sum that bears the same name. This city is not an essential stop in the region. There is not much to do there, except to buy supplies in one of its stores. On the other hand, it houses the fifth monastery of Mongolia, Gimpil Darjaalan Khiid, which is worth a visit when you are in the region. Built in the late eighteenth century, it housed 500 monks at the time of its greatest activity. After being transformed into a storehouse during the revolution, the monastery reopened in 1990. In 1992, the Dalai Lama came to visit it.
