The kilometres separating Al-Bayda from Shahat to the northeast are quickly traversed. The village of Shahat precedes the fabulous archaeological site of Cyrene. Shahat will only be able to stay at the youth hostel or the only hotel, with a coffee and restaurant that is worth a visit.You can easily reach both entrances, high and low, from the archaeological site, following the road to Apollonia at the exit of the village. The high part of the archaeological site of Cyrene, as well as the museum, is located in a beautiful pine forest. The road leads to the bottom of the site, along the old village of Shahat.
