The Leopard Rock Lodge is definitely an address in Kenya, an appointment with real luxury. Michel, French, is a nature lover of a perfectionist. Everything here is treated, from crystal glass to Persian carpets, from the wooden frame architecture to the amidonné cotton tablecloth. The happy tenants stay in cottages scattered under the trees, along the Murera river, an exceptional place of beauty! The cottages are all wooden, very spacious (75 m ² and two bathrooms for those divided into two bedrooms), beautifully decorated. Spectacular swimming pool, small esplanade overlooking the river with view of the Bisanadi reserve, panoramic restaurant, local art shop… Furthermore, the restaurant offers one of the best cuisines from all over the country, if not the best. The management of the lodge also thought about preserving the environment. Pumping water through a turbine using neither oil nor petrol, solar energy, waste incineration… We can only welcome such initiatives.

The Leopard Rock enjoys an exceptional location at the foot of the bush in Parc National de Meru. A real oasis, nestled in a green setting, wild fig trees and palm trees.

We had an unforgettable stay. Food was quality but what surprised us the most to see wild animals inside the lodge; few peacefully through the cottages.

We could explore elephants, monkeys and hippos and crocodiles in the river.

Service is friendly and we thank Eric particularly the Barman who told us anecdotes on the animals and Nimrod guide which was very efficient. We could see many animals on safari '' lions, cheetahs, buffalos, giraffes, antelopes and even dik-diks " the smallest hind of the monde".

The park has preserved its wild state; it is known as the Georges and Joy Adamson and it enjoys a sanctuary for the rhinoceros.
