MERU NATIONAL MUSEUM

The Meru Museum was founded in 1974. Installed in an old administrative building from the colonial era, this small museum aims to promote the cultural heritage of the Meru people. The museum exhibits the history of the Meru people and the region, clothes, traditional tools. Some explanations also concerning the fauna and flora of the region. Indigenous shrubs and medicinal plants are displayed in the garden where traditional huts have been reproduced. An interesting stop, if you have time.
