Established in 1975 to preserve this former marsh region in the middle of the Gudū forest in the southern part of the country, the reserve covers 8 477 hectares, to the south of the village of Marcinkonys, near the border with Belarus. It is the largest marsh in Lithuania, a sanctuary of animales-specific animal and plant species. Completely wild, there are 2 500 different species of plants, 36 mammal species and 178 birds. The location is of breathtaking beauty. Within the Park of Dzūkija, for any information and for visits, please contact the park office. The reservation of the reservation is possible only with a park guide and is normally prohibited from April 1 to June 1, during the period of the outbreak. For those who include Lithuanian: www.cepkeliai.lt
