CHURCH OF THE RESURRECTION

The Church of the Resurrection (Kristaus Prisikėlimo bažnyčia) here is the symbol of modern Kaunas: this white, cubic church of enormous dimensions can be seen from everywhere. Built from 1932 to 1940, during the first independence, when Kaunas was then the capital. The construction stops with the occupation of the Soviets who use the building to make it the radio transmission center of the country. The 70 m tower offers an exceptional panoramic view.
