PILIES STREET (PILIES GATVĖ)

Rue du Château" links Cathedral Square directly to the labyrinth of alleys in the old town. This is the oldest street in the old town. Mentioned in historical sources as far back as 1530, nobles and wealthy merchants built their houses here. The street attracts visitors with its architectural diversity, featuring houses in Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque styles. It's a popular place to stroll in summer and winter alike.
