BOTANICAL GARDEN OF THE UNIVERSITY OF VILNIUS

Created in 1791 by Professor Jean-Emmanuel Gilibert (1741-1814) with about 500 different plants, it was originally in the garden of the Medical University. Today it is the richest botanical garden in Lithuania (Botanikos sodas) with about 9,000 different species of plants. Numerous cultural events are organized regularly. Guided tours are available. For those who are interested, horseback riding is also possible.
