Sigulda's Christian community existed as early as 1225, and the church was first mentioned in 1483 as the Church of St. Bartholomew. The concrete tower was added in 1930. Between 1965 and 1990, as the only church allowed to operate in the region, it welcomed people of all faiths (Catholic, Orthodox...). A beautiful white church with a sober interior.
