The beaches of Ventspils were the first to be awarded the Blue Flag in 1999, and still retain it today. In midsummer, the water can reach 20°C. You can also choose a nudist beach or a surfers' beach, with access to the sea closer by car (more convenient with their boards, in fact). Why not rent a bike in the center and then take a ride along the beach or in the surrounding dunes? It's a very pleasant outing when the weather's nice, and easy for families too.
