Originally the city's second theatre (after the Russian Theatre), built in the north in 1899, the National Theatre has a rich neo-baroque and neo-classical facade with an Art Nouveau touch. It is historically important because it was within these walls that Latvia's independence was proclaimed on 18 November 1918. Today the theatre offers a rich and varied programme, the full agenda of which is available on its website.

Superbe façade pour ce théâtre qui est situé en bordure du canal avec des espaces de verdures agréables pour flâner et se détendre.
