E.A.T. Riga is a new-generation tour company specializing in alternative tourism and the creation of tailor-made events. Founded by 3 locals with a genuine passion for their city, E.A.T. Riga offers the chance to discover the Latvian capital from the inside, off the beaten track of the old town and the postcard, in the places where the city vibrates and where the locals meet. So it all began with the creation of their first (and still most popular) guided walking tour: the "Alternative Riga Tour". This tour takes in the city's different facets, neighborhoods and key places, from Riga's big market to the landmarks of the city's trendy youth, via its most beautiful Art Nouveau buildings, the wooden houses of the left bank, small boutiques, antique shops, good local restaurants and offbeat cafés... This is where you'll find EAT Riga's signature: original, well-designed tours led by experts who will deliver the relevant information in an informal, intimate and lively way. Tour times, starting points and content can therefore be adapted to suit visitors' requirements.

Guided tours cover a wide range of themes. During the high season, between May1 and September 30, numerous daily departures are scheduled. Even when the tours are more classic (Riga Art Nouveau or Strange Facets of the Old Town), the guides strive to put the key stories and characters of these themes at the center of the narrative, with a perspective on contemporary Riga, the current situation and today's cultural scene. New features include a tour of the Moscow district and the Jewish ghetto, an area which until now has had a bad reputation, but which is now being revitalized, and also a tour focusing on the Nazi and Soviet occupations that Riga experienced in quick succession. A tour centered on discussion and exchange between participants and guide.

As its name suggests, EAT Riga is also committed to showcasing the Latvian capital through the prism of gastronomy, with one option focusing on gastronomy and another on the production of craft beers in Riga.

Cycling tours are also highly recommended (daily departures at 12pm and 3pm in season) and one of EAT Riga's specialties. The city lends itself perfectly to cycling, given its extensive, quiet and totally flat layout.
