A must-see in Riga! It's housed in three former zeppelin hangars built before the First World War. Inside the sheds or outside on the stalls, you'll find traditional products sold by farmers: cheeses, vegetables, meat, cold meats, flowers, honey, fresh and smoked fish... It's a great way to familiarize yourself with Latvian local produce. The central market remains a popular place for locals, thanks to the quality of the goods on offer. Part of it has even been transformed into a food court.

Lieu incontournable à Riga
Ce plus grand marché d'Europe est superbe. On y trouve de très bons fruits et légumes très bon marché, et notamment des fruits de bois et des champignons sylvestres.

Des batiments magnifiques reperables de loin. L ambiance est tres agreable, le lieu vivant avec tous ses marchands de harengs, legumes, et toutes autres specialités lettones. On peut aussi manger sur place.

L'occasion d'acheter pour trois fois rien des baies délicieuses (5 euros le kilos de myrtille). Les champignons sont superbes et que dire des multiples poissons fumés! Il faut y aller!!
