At the exact moment when the tropical storm come broke out reunir us on the exit of the bus, Yuli approached us in English with much softness to offer a room in his guest house to us. From this moment, our four days stay in Baracoa was a delight.
Casa Colonial Sonia is located in the centre of Baracoa, it is a haven of peace with a small inner garden where a young parrot animates the places of his whistles and his first words. The two rooms, recently renovated, with private bathroom, fan and AC extremely clean and refreshed every day. Breakfasts, as the meals offered by Yuli are copious and varied.
For us the best casa de Cuba thanks to Yuli and all its family; welcoming, friendly and communicative.

Yuli deals with the rental of the room, the reception, food, etc. - all with a smile, a way of being very nice and warm. The house belongs to his old parents-in-law who may share with you a moment in the garden (filled with banana trees and flowers). They do not get much at home but remain discreet. The room is large and clean. It overlooks the lounge and patio. A small adjoining room is reserved for you, with two seats and always a fridge stocked with drinks. Yuli can do eat, at your request. Not bad cuisine. What I loved also here, as the reception, it is a direct and sincere relations with the smiling lady who became a friend. Nothing is forced, we forget the atmosphere sometimes a little " business" in Cuba, and it really is good. To feel at home.
