PLAZA DE LA REVOLUCIÓN (PLACE CESPEDES)

The heart of Bayamo, where people of all generations meet. Sitting on a bench under the foliage of trees and palms, you just enjoy the passing of time or the activity of the moment. Note the bronze and granite statue of Carlos Manuel de Céspedes and the bust of Perucho Figueredo, author of the national anthem, accompanied by his score and lyrics. Beautiful colonial buildings in pastel tones, built after the fire of 1869, also surround the square.
