Museum dedicated to the composer Alejandro Garcia Caturla (1906-1940), a native of the city. Ahead of his time, he opposed the racist prejudices of the time by integrating African rhythms into the heart of his work and by marrying a black woman, an act considered scandalous at the time. A lawyer and musician, he lived in this beautiful 19th century house before being murdered at the age of 34. Alejo Carpentier, a great national writer, considered him an emblem of Cuban music.
