Located at the border, 2 km west of Ras al-Ain, 74 km northwest of Hassaké (accessible by a good asphalted road). Starting from Ras al-Ain, shortly after the bridge, you have to stop the car on the side of the road and then enter one of the paths among the houses to get to the point. As usual, a modern cemetery has been set up at the top of the story. This place dates back to the Neolithic era, especially because it gave its name to a type of pottery in the th millennium BC. It was identified as the Gouzana of the Assyrian archives and was also the capital of Bit Bahiani, one of the arameans states. The basalt sculptures that adorned the palace adorn the monumental facade of the museum of Aleppo (replica). Excavations started at the beginning of the th century and led to the initiative of a Berlin-Baghdad railway engineer, Max Oppenheim, who abandoned his job to devote himself to the site. Some of the discoveries stored in Berlin were destroyed by allied bombardment during the Second World War.At the east of the site, 1 km from the tell by a bad road, is a nice little water plan named Ain el-Zarka (blue springs).
