The castle of Rahba clearly stands on the right side of the road, at the height of Mayadin and the main road bypasses by the west. As one approaches, its dismal silhouette is unusual, unusual at the edge of the desert. The castle was built in the th century under the reign of Noureddin by one of its officers, Malik ibn Tauk, on the location of abbassides fortifications. Like Jaber's, he will not survive Mongolian invasions and will be definitively abandoned from the th century.
