DEEPAVALI

Deepavali, also known as Diwali or the Festival of Lights, is a major festival in the Indian world. It celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, wisdom over ignorance. The goddess Lakshmi, goddess of fertility and prosperity, is worshipped. It's a festival rich in color, decoration and Hindu tradition, and one of Singapore's finest. A visit to Little India is a must to admire the decorations, watch the golden chariot procession or take part in the activities organized for the occasion.
