OLD CHINATOWN

The old Chinatown district is concentrated around Carpenter Street and Main Bazaar (Kuching's oldest street). Stroll along these typical streets and admire the remarkable traditional Chinese shophouses. This is the area where you'll find the greatest concentration of handicraft and antique stores, cafés and restaurants. Carpenter Street is also home to two noteworthy Chinese temples, the Hiang Thian Siang Ti Temple and the Hong San Si Temple.
