Kuala Lumpur offers a cab and VTC service called Sunlight Cab. They offer affordable fares for both city and luxury cabs. For city cabs, the fare is RM3.00 for the first kilometer, then 10 cents for every additional 115 meters and 2 cents for every additional 21 seconds. There are no additional charges for extra passengers or for placing luggage in the cab's boot. However, if you use the hailing service to book a cab, there is an additional charge of RM2.00. For luxury cabs, the fare is RM6.00 for the first kilometer, then 20 cents for each additional 100 meters. There is an additional charge of RM2.00 if you use the online booking service or smartphone app. Luxury cabs do not charge extra for trips to KLIA airport. Please note that there is a 50% surcharge on the total fare shown on the taximeter from midnight to 6:00 am.
