Lodge in the hills above Kaw, with comfortable wooden chalets.
On the heights of the Kaw mountain, you can choose your stay according to your desires! Le Kouali, l'Angélique and le Grignon (accessible to people with reduced mobility) are simply decorated but comfortable wooden chalets (satellite TV, fully-equipped kitchen, fridge and freezer, hot water). A choice of guided walks: discovering the flora and fauna, entomology, night-time outings and excursions adapted for the disabled. Orchids and epiphytic plants flourish on the edges of the lodges, where morphos and frogs frolic.

Super accueil et petit déjeuner au top !
Juste petit bémol, les indications fournies étaient complètes mais en arrivant de nuit ça peut être un peu compliqué à trouver car aucun panneau.
Infrastructure issues such as power outages and poor sleeping facilities reflect disinterest from the management. The road to the lodge is in dire condition, requiring at least two hours to get to the lodge from the airport (more if trees have fallen which is common). The cabin was wet and infested with mosquitoes, cockroaches and bedbugs.
The cost of visiting has become exorbitant, providing little value for money. There is a shortage of rental cars in the country and those that are available tend to be older. Alcohol-related disturbances at the lodge were common, significantly detracting from the peaceful ambiance.
English-speaking tourists might find French Guiana unwelcoming due to its poor tourism infrastructure. Furthermore, the lodge's claims of being eco-friendly are dubious at best, with blatant disregard for waste management and water safety.
Although I met a few friendly locals, the overall experience was disappointing and at times unsettling. I strongly suggest considering alternative jungle destinations.
Insects in the rooms, but you'll be amused.
Would like to go back.
