BLUE HAVEN HOTEL

Tobago's oldest hotel, the Blue Haven Hotel, has a sumptuous setting on the heights of Scarborough. Perched on a once fortified cliff (the old cannons are still there), the hotel spreads out its terraces, its pool and its "sundecks" a few meters from the sea level which is reached by a small path carved in the rock and which leads to a small private beach. The hotel used to welcome the Hollywood elite when calypso and Tobago vacations became fashionable in the United States in the 1950s.
