HOUSE OF CHAN

There are two House of Chan's in Trinidad, one here in Woodbrook, very well located, and the other in Saint Augustine on the outskirts of the capital. The one in Woodbrook is at the top end of the Asian restaurant market, and the flavours are well up to scratch. Of particular note is the excellent fresh kumquat juice, hard to find elsewhere. The homemade hot sauce is also excellent and goes perfectly with the delicious fried wontons . One regret, however: the lighting is so subdued that the menu is hard to decipher.
