This very simple museum, housed in a house built in 1855 that was once a prison, presents small collections of fossils, petroglyphs, ceramics and pre-Columbian silverware found in the province of Veraguas. Next to it is the Escuela Normal Juan Demosttenes Arosemena. Built between 1936 and 1938, this former Normal School, with a beautiful baroque façade, houses a college. One of the classrooms was decorated by the famous Panamanian painter Roberto Lewis.
