Founded in 1955, but renovated very recently, the Haifa Zoo (or Louis Ariel Goldshmidt Educational Zoo) is home to more than a hundred species and nearly 400 animals: tigers, wolves, hyenas, monkeys, reptiles, birds... The zoo also houses the Botanical Garden and the Shtekelis Prehistoric Museum, dedicated to discoveries in the region.

Si vous avez encore une journée à perdre, vous pouvez vous rendre dans ce zoo qui est sympathique mais qui a un côté un peu vieillot (surtout le musée de la préhistoire qui a un look d'époque !). En revanche, zéro pointé pour le jardin botanique qui devait s'y trouver, je ne l'ai même pas aperçu...
