AMRAM PILLARS

From Route 90, a blue-marked track leads to a parking lot after 6 km. A 5-minute walk then takes you to the geological formation of the Amram pillars. These are tall "fairy chimneys" carved out of sandstone by hydraulic erosion, on the western cliff of a cirque that forms the foothills of the Eilat mountains. On the plain, you may spot dorcas gazelles. You'll need a car to visit this site: the bus from Eilat can only leave you at the entrance to the track.
