The Tábano is known as one of the best Mexican restaurants in the hotel area, but its prices are reasonable for the area. It is not located on the beach, but on the forest and mangrove side, near the Maya Tulum hotel. They serve home-made recipes under a papala, such as salmon with sugar and cinnamon, fish ceviche with fruits, and poblanas pancakes. Beware, due to its reputation, the restaurant is often full at meal times. Pleasant and efficient service in general.
