Hacienda with multiple cultures that employed nearly 700 workers in Oxkutzcab

Tabi was, at the beginning of the 18th century, a farm oriented towards breeding. It was around 1780 that it diversified its production and became a hacienda with multiple crops (sugar cane, corn, tobacco, henequen...). At that time, it employed nearly 700 workers. This peonage system, abolished with the Mexican Revolution, gradually put an end to the activity of the Hacienda. Today, its imposing main casa , lost in the vastness of the surrounding countryside, still exists.
