Sure, it's outside of downtown, but it's pretty fabulous. Chef Pedro Evia, a native of Merida, and his sidekick Eduardo Rukos, have turned their restaurant into a laboratory! The cuisine is conceptual and avant-garde while honoring local ingredients. The menu is ever-changing and seasonal. Spectacular plates and amazing flavor combinations like the pumpkin puree and mole in sunflower trompe l'oeil. Also the Kii'Wiik Café which offers very affordable breakfasts.
