Basilica located in front of the Fine Arts and below the pleasant Plaza de la Danza in Oaxaca

Oaxaca has no shortage of religious buildings worth visiting, and this basilica is further proof of that. Located in front of the School of Fine Arts and below the very pleasant Plaza de la Danza, the present building was begun in 1682. Its baroque façade dates from 1718 and the evening illuminations give it a depth of beauty, creating a play of light around its many niches and statues.
