The many fondas and comedores set up under this noisy and sometimes crowded hall offer the best local cuisine in the center of Oaxaca. There is a rush at all hours to stuff themselves with hearty breakfasts and lunches. There is an entire aisle devoted to meat (beef, marinated pork, sausages, tripe...): make your selection in the window and the vendor will grill the chosen pieces. At night, small shops prepare good tlayudas in the street outside to appease the hunger. A must in Oaxaca.
