If there is a place not to be missed, it is this small village south of Cholula, whose church is one of the fiercest examples of the baroque style in the region, if not the country. The impressive church, built between the 17th and 19th centuries, has a naive, colourful facade, but is ultimately very sober compared to what awaits you inside. Pass through the door and you will be overwhelmed by the weight of the extremely busy decoration: not a single corner of the church is untouched; walls and ceilings are covered with motifs and characters moulded in plaster and painted in a thousand colours
