A small village whose life revolves around the main square and the church, the first mission in the entire region, founded in 1691. Father Martin Schmid established the first music school here in 1730 and a workshop that produced violins, harps and organs. Some nice walks are possible in the surroundings of the village, especially at the viewpoint "El Bibosi", at the exit of the village towards Concepción, at the waterfalls "Los Tumbos", or at "Aguas Calientes", small thermal springs of volcanic origin, located 13 km north of San Javier.
