Coimata is a nice bathing place at 15 km from Tarija. If you are brave, you can reach a really impressive waterfall, in 40 minutes of climbing from the lower waterfalls. You have to climb a little bit on the rocks at the beginning, then a path appears (you climb for the panorama, you have to stay along the river and therefore hold on to the rocks if you want to swim in the upper falls). Many Tarijeños come here to have a parrillada on weekends. To get to Coimata, take a trufi at the corner of Campesino and Comercio, in Tarija. It costs about 5 Bs per person. A taxi costs 35 Bs to 50 Bs (one way).
