FIESTA DE LA VIRGEN DEL ROSARIO

Also known as the Fiesta de las rosas (Festival of Roses ). The Virgen Rosario is celebrated here: the procession leaves from the San Juan chapel and continues through the streets of El Molino, the city's first colonial district, with the throwing of flowers. The activities in honor of the Virgin last for two weeks in the Tarijeñacapital: masses, parades, music, exhibitions... The crowning of the "Queen of the Roses" closes the festivities.
