The Gil Duran market is located between calle Florida and avenida Chichas. It is the food market, where you can eat typical local dishes. Between Santa Cruz and av. Chichas is the Mercado Negro, where you can find a bit of everything. The Mercado Campesino is held every day in the south of the city and offers mainly local fruits and vegetables, but also Argentine products. Informal markets are held on Thursdays and Saturdays around the train station (about 1 km away, also on Mondays).
