I.G.M. (INSTITUTO GEOGRÁFICO MILITAR)

It is the big barracks in front of the medical school of La Paz. You will have to bring your passport to enter. You can find there geological maps that can be used by andinists. But the maps are often out of stock. Some tourist agencies, on Sagarnaga street, propose maps of the peaks of the Cordillera. There are also general tourist maps in Spanish/English (Editorial Quipus), expensive but generally quite good.
